Decided to service my car last week. It seems ages since the last one. The steering wheel has wobble a bit (a sure tell-tale sign of a bad wheel balancing), the tyres are less grippy (well, it have been 3 years since my last tyre change), the engine note sounds throaty, and the gear change sometimes skipped a clog (WTF?).
So off I went to a tyre shop near my house. Well, not so near anyway. But this shop is recommended by my karaoke kakis, Azril. Well, the atmosphere is like your normal around the corner tyre shop, albeit it’s being smacked in the middle of the other tyre shops. Decided to buy 2 set of new tyres (Barum Bravuris by Continental Tyres), when suddenly the mechanic told me that all my rims are crooked (aka bengkok). As expected due to the age of the rims and the terrible condition of our roads. Found an original Proton sport rims currently used on the Waja CPS. Fitted it in and off I go.
What’s next for my baby? Maybe a new coat of paint? Ferrari Red?
My next project for my car would definitely the air condition. Currently if it’s too hot outside, the aircon will only works for about 0.5 hours. Then it’s hot as hell. No problem though when it’s raining or night driving. I suspected that some valves have kaput.
