Astro Mustika

It has been nearly a month and a half since I subcribed to the Astro Mustika channel. And my verdict is: CANCEL IT!

The RM12.95 subscription fee is too high for a channel that filled with bullshit. The CITRA, WARNA and B4U is a waste of money! I tell you why:

  • The CITRA is a channel full with foreign movies and unavailable with the MOVIES channels. I watches this channel mainly for the horror flicks from Indonesia, Thailand and Korea;
  • The WARNA channel is the comedy channel. And the comedies are crap like hell. The locally made comedies are full of Raja Lawaks and re-runs of Jangan Ketawa. The Singaporeans are also contributing with their own brand of Malay comedies, which is a bit sad, since it’s not funny at all and comes with funny sound effects;
  • B4U is full of Bollywood’s movies, and I’m totally not into Bollywood.

I only like the CITRA channel, but why Astro bundled all three into one? Have you done your homework, Astro? Do you think those who watches the CITRA, automatically will like the WARNA and B4U?

I’m cancelling my subscription to the WARNA.

It pays to be diplomatic

I was just arrived home last Tuesday when I noticed some water flowing from my upstairs’ neighbors apartment. The water flows from the piping and supposedly was designed to let water from the balcony to flow down away from other people’s balconies. But whenever the wind was strong, the water will not flow as intended and instead will splashed in all directions, and into other people’s balconies.

DiplomaticI quickly went to the 10th floor and called out the houseowner. I told him about what happened and advised him to stop washing the balcony (he’s been doing this daily, some even at 12am!). He looks stunned and after hearing whatever I had to say, he apologised profusely and mentioned that they had moved here about 3 months ago and not aware about the trouble that they had caused.

I managed to maintain my cool throughout the ordeal (if you can call it that) and luckily the other person didn’t  felt offended to my advice. Did I tell you that it pays to be diplomatic?

Announcement…new link to my blog

Hiya to all my Loyal Readers!

Nice to see you all in here! Thanks for the support.

I’ve made some effort to rectify the so-called slow access problem that some readers complained to me. It seems that the access to the Exabytes (my current webhoster) is slow as hell and not up to my expectation. Therefore, I have moved my blog to a more secured and faster host for the benefit of us all.

Starting from 10th August 2009, you can access my blog using the old link, which is http://amranfaisal.com, and you can email me at amran(at)amranfaisal.com.

Thanks for reading.

My New 09/10 Liverpool 2nd Jersey

I managed to buy the recently launched 2nd jersey for Liverpool’s 09/10 season. And in time too, before the BPL starts at end of August. The red home jersey will last until middle of next year.

I can only hope for Liverpool to do away with Carlsberg...

I can only hope for Liverpool to do away with Carlsberg...

The away jersey is matte black in colour with gold letterings, and the gold over black is quite beautiful to look at. I love black jerseys (heck, I even got the Chelsea’s black jersey!), and the timing for Liverpool’s black jersey just couldn’t come any better.

Finally I got Torres on my back!

Finally I got Torres on my back!

This time I had to custom made the NNs (name & numbering). My supplier told me that he bought the jersey from Liverpool’s superstore and had the NNs specially made there. I had “Gerrard 8” as the NNs for my red home jersey, so it’s only logical to have “Torres 9” for the away.

The cutting for the Adidas jersey is a smaller than the home jersey, but it fits me well, nevertheless. Hopefully Liverpool can win the League this season. Or I will be overdress all season long.
