Syed Bistro’s New Briyani Packaging

I’ve written about Syed Bistro’s Bukhara Briyani with enthusiasm before. This is due to the fact that I loves Briyani so much. I’m not doing anymore Briyani review this time, but I just want to mention about the new box packaging deployed by Syed for their Briyanis.

New Packaging...

They changed the outer design of the box a little bit, probably to make it more interesting to look. It seems that Syed won an award or something from the government, and it’s written on the box.

All the ingredients in separate box

The new packaging incorporated four new compartments: one for the briyani, curry egg, condiments and the dal sauce. In my opinion, this is a good step to take towards customer satisfaction. For me, I like to eat my briyani straight from the box. And by dividing the various condiments from the briyani, it’s easier to consume the briyani and probably able to withstand longer storage period. The compartments are made from strong paper and lined with wax to make it water-resist and tear-proof.

Flowchart, people!

They even displayed the flowchart of how the new packaging will be used by the consumers and direction for heating.

😉

I think Syed Bistro is moving in the right direction with this environment-friendly packaging. As well as providing good food to consumers, they also contributed to the environment. But the sad part is, because of the cost of the packaging, Syed has increased the cost of the Briyani from RM10 to RM11. For that, instead of giving them two thumbs up, I’m only giving them one. Try harder next time, Syed.
