Age of Empires Online is here!

Do you still remember the Microsoft game called Age of Empires? It spanned two sequels and many expansion packs back in the days. Old-time gamers itching to play the game? Newbies wanna try your luck at running your own empire? Fret not, as Microsoft has officially launched its Age of Empires online (AOEO) games yesterday. Do you got what it takes to be an Emperor? You can play the game free for more than 40 hours, but you have to buy the ‘Premium Content Packs’. And fast internet access is a good idea as well.

Installation with the ‘.exe’ file is fast but updating the online app takes a good one hour (more if your internet is crawling). And no Mac version on sight.

I’ve installed the AOEO on my Windows and currently still figuring out on how to actually play the game. I was expecting something as simple and easy as Age of Empires 1, but how wrong was I! The game is big! It would take me some time to get use to the playability of the game, and I will post more infos once I’m already getting the groove.
