Groovy Beetle!

Check out this groovy yellow Beetle I found when I was at Istana Budaya last Saturday. And what’s the best accessory to go with an iconic car? An iconic Chopper bicycle, of course!

How I wish I had this car! Congrats to the owner. You got one hellava cool ride!

Enjoy the photos!

Goodbye, Subramaniam Gopal!

Subramaniam Gopal

It has been a week since I received the dreaded calls from my friends. They said that my best friend of 30 years have passed away. I was still asleep when the calls and messages came in at 7.30am, and I had only couple of hours sleep prior to the calls. Well, who sleeps early on weekends anyway?

His real name is Subramaniam a/l Gopal, but we fondly called him ‘Anggam’. I don’t really know the origin of that name but I think the name stuck since early of our secondary school days.

Anggam is also the person responsible for introducing me to Liverpool FC. He gave me an authentic Liverpool jersey (the ‘Candy’ jersey) way back in 88-89.

He left behind his wife and two daughters.

Thanks Anggam for all the memories (all 30 years of ’em!). Rest in peace, my brother. Sorry for not spending enough time with you all these while. I will miss you…

Do you remember this biscuit?

What is the name of this biscuit?

I don’t really know the name of this biscuit, but I’ve tasted this biscuit as far as when I was 5-6 years old. At that time I was in Bagan Serai, Perak, as both my parents are teachers and were stationed there.

I’m still enjoy eating the biscuit, eventhough my friends often said that I was like a kid. Occasionally, I have a run to the supermarket to get my stock. It’s fun eating these babies while watching your favourite movies at home.

I used to call the biscuit “biskut kaler” or colored biscuit, because of the colourful icing. By the way, did you noticed that the icing is available only in 5 colours?

Mydin Hypermarket sells the biscuit for RM1.89/100g, while Jusco sells it for RM2.09/100g. Get it from Jusco as the Mydin’s biscuit tastes funny.

Di Mana Kan Kucari Ganti?

I watched the biography-style documentary “P. Ramlee” on History Channel (Astro 555)  last month. Not sure whether the documentary is still running or not, but if it’s still on, you better catch it especially if you’re a fan of P. Ramlee.

It’ll takes something out of me to make me cry, but while watching the documentary, my tears flows.

Check out the video above, made by Astro for the “P Ramlee: Di Mana Kan Kucari Ganti” campaign.
