Kamasutra, P1?

P1 4G (aka P1 WiMax) is a company full of surprises. First, the so-called 4G internet is crap (they can’t even guarantee a constant speed for their broadband). Second, their internet is unreliable, and always down in critical situations (like when I’m trying to send an important PDF document to a client via dropbox, and the line died on me). Third, their marketing guys are weirdos. And I’m talking from personal experiences.

From P1's site

Their current promotion for the P1 devices and services involves the usage of images resembling the prince and princess from medieval India. And if I’m not mistaken, the images also looks like it’s been taken from the pages of the famed Kamasutra book! WTF P1?

Screenshot taken from T3 Malaysia's September 2011 edition.

The ad from my T3’s magazine is even weirder, as P1 added an extra two images which show a more compromising positions (as the red circle in the photo above). That’s a big waddafark from me, hahaha!

Surely we all know that sex sells. But putting Kamasutra images on your ad is sooooo lame, and a cheap shot at it. Can’t think of something more creative, eh P1? I see that you have already considered that you’re no more the family-oriented company. Or never was?

Just for the record, I’m no longer on P1. And never will be in the future. To P1, please take back your modem and w1ggy.

In the meantime, check out the Kamasutra video (the P1 version) below:

WTF?

I used to subscribe to this site local site called “jackcow.com” and they offered cheap deals in KL. But I grew tired of the deals, as a lot of ’em are not really my cup of tea. So I decided to unsubscribe from the newsletter. This is what I found in my email soon after:

Goodbye from our Newsletter, sorry to see you go.

You have been unsubscribed from our newsletters.

This is the last email you will receive from us. We have added you to our “blacklist”, which means that our newsletter system will refuse to send you any other email, without manual intervention by our administrator.

If there is an error in this information, you can re-subscribe: please go to http://www.jackcow.com/lists/?p=subscribe and follow the steps.

Thank you

Again I asked you jackcow.com, WTF? You added me to your so-called “blacklist” list, and “REFUSE” to send me anymore email? Why don’t you remove my entire details from your database? That would make my farking day!

Am I Not Patriotic Enough?

I read some newspaper reports with jest (and even live on TV after the Harimau Malaya vs Liverpool friendly match day) when Malaysia’s football coach, Datuk K. Rajagopal said that Malaysian football fans that came to the stadium to support Liverpool FC are not patriotic and should have supported Harimau Malaya instead. For this I say, WTF?

Harimau Malaya vs Liverpool

Am I not patriotic enough for supporting Liverpool FC instead of Harimau Malaya? Picture this: this is Liverpool FC’s first ever trip to Malaysia’s soil. And this is the first time I saw them in person, live (I didn’t managed to catch them when I was in the UK years ago). I’ve been supporting Malaysia way since their bitter rivalry with South Korean (even the football standard spiral downwards since). Get it?

Rajagopal with Barclay's Cup

And who are you to question my patriotism, Datuk Rajagopal? Are you a patriot, when you lift the Barclays Premier Cup (together with van der Sar) when the latter came to KL to celebrate Man U’s 19th title?

Please-lah, Datuk. Just because you’re unable to perform miracles on the Malaysian team (and quite a sore loser on that too), you mouthed away garbages like Malaysia fans not patriotic and should support Harimau Malaya instead of Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea. Didn’t you see/hear when Safee Sali scored against LFC and the Bukit Jalil Stadium roar, and everybody (both fans) celebrated together?

And seeing the Malaysian team performance yesterday against Singapore, is simply pathetic (Safee Sali is brilliant, as always). We can do much better than that. Singapore is NOT a strong team. They’re full of imports. But our defenders are letting us down. Don’t let me nag about the goalkeeper (where did you find this short guy?).

Just keep your mouth shut and do your freakin’ job!

Liverpool Merchandise @ Reject Shop

I had some time to spend at Midvalley Megamall today after the Transformer 3 movie (Gold Class, no less) when I decided to pay a visit to Reject Shop (RS). I read in the daily newspaper that Reject Shop Malaysia is sponsoring Liverpool FC’s visit to Malaysia and they’re selling some merchandise with regards to their Asian Tour.

Front of the shop

I rarely go to Reject Shop (owned by Metrojaya Malaysia) as in my opinion, their clothing range is not that cheap and doesn’t qualify for the tag “reject” clothings. Reject items should be sold cheaper than retail and not with the same price brackets with clothes at normal retail shops. This goes to Factory Outlet Store (FOS) too.  It seems that the clothes there are getting expensive by the week. What gives, guys?

RS banner promoting the tour

I think that’s why Reject Shop is able to sponsor Liverpool FC (it’s not cheap) and selling its merchandise at the shop.  From what I read, the merchandise are official Liverpool FC products (aka original maa). I’m looking for some LFC scarves (which I don’t presently have) and was hopeful that the ones sold at Reject Shop was cheap and affordable. How wrong was I!

LFC merchandise section in RS

RS has allocated a special section to house the LFC Asian Tour merchandise. They sells mostly official t-shirts (no jerseys on sight), mugs, lanyards, keyrings, caps, pennants and scarves. It looks like the merchandise are locally made, but the sad thing is, the merchandise are all sold at premium prices. It’s funny ’cause RS is known as a cheaper alternative version of any retail outlets out there. But why the premium prices? To cope up the sponsorship money already splashed at LFC?

Just imagine, the scarves that I was looking for is priced at RM79.99 a piece. What the fark? It’s customised to the LFC Asian Tour 2011 on the front and the wording “You’ll Never Walk Alone, Liverpool FC” at the back. Even the scarves at LFC Online Store is sold for £8.00 (about RM38.00).

I’m disappointed with RS.

Signed shirt with certificate

I was so pissed off with the merchandise prices that I nearly stormed out of the outlet. That is until I saw something that really caught my eyes, literally.

On the wall in a frame, at the back of the cashier’s counter, was a current LFC home jersey with the signatures from all the current players. It comes with a certificate of authentication. What a gem! Just imagine the price for this signed shirt! But the sad thing is, I’m unable to recognised any of the signatures, not even Gerrard’s.

Good try, Reject Shop. But try harder next time.
