Confusion on Maxis Hot Ticket Balance Rollover

Hot Ticket (HT)

I am still confused since my last posting on the Maxis Hot Ticket (HT) balance rollover (you can find the article here).

Two days ago, I received this message from Hotlink:

RM0. Activate a new Hot Ticket to continue using your Hot Tickets minutes & SMS by 27/6. Remaining unused mins & SMS will be forfeited on 28/6.

I’m not too sure what it means, but when I do a “*129#” for my previous HT balance, I got this:

Min(24hrs):186.00, Exp:28.04.2011

Does this mean that my previous HT balances can be transferred to my new reload? I’m confused.

Update (27 June 2011): I bought a new RM15 Hot Ticket (120min, 300sms & 10days validity) today and noticed that my precious HT balance is NOT carried forward after the reload. What gives, Maxis?

Regarding Maxis Hotlink’s Hot Ticket

Hot Ticket (HT)

With regards to Hotlink’s Hot Ticket (HT), I received this SMS from Maxis yesterday:

RM0. From 15/6, unused min & SMS FREE Hot Ticket (HT) will be carried forward with activation of next HT before its expiry & paid HT within 7 day after expiry.

I’m not a fan of HT but sometimes if I can’t find the usual prepaid top up place, HT is the thing.  But what gets me going is, what the hell Maxis is trying to say with the message? I’ve tried to read it a few times, and till now I still can’t comprehend with what’s the telco is trying to convey. Is it a reward or some kind? Is it suppose to make the prepaiders (?) jumping with joy upon hearing the news?

As you Hot Ticketers probably knew, the validity varies according to the value of the HT. For example, a RM15 HT is valid for 10 days, and after that any amount still available will be automatically forfeited. From the message that I’ve received, it gave me the impression that any unused amount will be forwarded and included in the next HT activation. Now that’s a gem. But that’s not really a confirmation from Maxis. So what is it?

I can’t find anything about it in Hotlink’s website either. So Maxis, what the fark are you trying to say here?

I Won! I Won!

I woke up this morning a bit late than usual (hey, blame it on the rain!) and as per my usual routine, I checked my phone for any missed call or messages. What’s displayed on the screen jolted me from my kain pelikat (no need for a strong coffee)! It seems that I won some money from some contest. It worth a “hooray” for about 5 seconds, when the reality sets in.

Seriously?

The SMS message reads something like this (message is kept in original form):

You Winner!!_Simcard Anda berjaya menangi Wang   RM30,000.00 dr”POWER ROOT” No.siri_254789 Sila_Call Office: 012-8395467 MOH.ISMAIL Penghantar: POWER ROOT

WTF?

Stupid is stupid does

People are getting stupider by the seconds. This is proof that having a lot of money does not equals to a lot of brains.

Thanks to Azril for the photo

Saw this Jaguar parked beside Starbucks IOI Mall Puchong. The space provided is for disabled parking, and yet the owner of this car disregard the sign and parked there nonetheless. This bring a new meaning to the word ‘retarded’.

Even if you’re a rich disable person (how many of you did encounter one driving his/her own vehicle?), without an authorised disable sticker you’re simply can’t park there.

You’re stupid, aren’t you?

Macamana cara orang kita beli kereta baru…

Udah lama teman idak membelog dalam bahasa kita. Gianz plak rasanya. So, entry nih teman tulih dalam bahasa kita.

Tapi orang kita nih lain macam caranya. Antaranya:

  • Bukak pintu dan tutup pintu kuat2. Kalu bunyi macam “thud”, maknanya pintu dia solid;
  • Ketuk2 seluruh badan kereta tuh. Mana la tahu ada bunyi macam tin milo plak (aka Proton);
  • Dok tengok sportrims. Kalu kecik dan pakai tayar biasa, dah tentu kereta nih tak bagus. Kalu masih tak puas hati, dia tendang2 tayar kereta tuh. Mungkin nak tengok samada pancit atau tak kot;
  • Bukak boot belakang (ada kereta yang boot kat depan ya yop) dan kalu luas, ada potensi nak beli. Tak tahu la kenapa diorang nak boot luas2. Gamaknya nak letak mertua dia dalam tuh kot?;
  • Bukak bonnet dan tengok engin plak. Kalau engin dia kurang2 1.6 dan penuh engine bay tuh, lagi bagus. Tapi kalu engin tertutup dengan cover, memang tak best sebab macam tak nampak engin. Kalu udah tak nampak engin, baik naik bas aje;
  • Duduk kat kerusi pemandu. Pastu cuba adjust2 stering. Stering kalu kecik dan nipis, memang tak best. Kita nak stering yang tebal dan besar. Lagi cantek kalu penuh button2 kat stering. Senang tekan sambil bawak;
  • Kalu harga udah cecah lebih RM100k, tempat duduk mesti la kulit. Bucket seat sudah semestinya. Nak ganti dengan Recaro, mahei plak rasanya. Satu tempat duduk paling2 pun RM1.5k. Mana nak cekor duit nih weh!;
  • Bila salesman datang melayan, orang kita akan buat2 macam interested. Macam nak beli gitu. Macam2 la dia tanya salesman. Tanya loan pakai bank mana, interest berapa sekarang (kalu salesman kata 3.9%, orang kita akan kata mahal), bila boleh dapat kereta, bila loan boleh approve, dan sebagainya;
  • Dah puas tanya salesman soalan2 yang diorang sendiri dah tau jawapan, dia mintak plak brochure dan contact number salesman tuh. Bila salesman bagi brochure photostat, dia mintak plak brochure colour. Bila salesman kata brochure colour udah habis, orang kita tuh akan buat muka dan terus belah.

Begitu lah cara orang kita pilih kereta baru. BTW, teman nih bukan salesman kereta ya.

UPDATE (29/03/2011): Teman ada baca suratkhabor The Star arini (amboi, teman pun kekadang dok baca suratkhabor orang puteh juge), keluor la satu iklan Proton nih. Dema dok iklan kereta Persona dema tuh (kenapa dema buang duit bukak iklan satu mukasurat, entah la. Dengornya Persona nih laku bebeno).

Kena buat gini ke, kalau nak beli Proton?

Kena buat gini ke, kalau nak beli Proton?

Udah lebih 25 tahun tapi masih tak nak dengor pandangan pembeli...

Dalam iklan tuh, Proton ada nyebut pasei “door slamming test” (tengok gambor ateh tuh).

Patut le orang2 yang beli Proton semua test kereta guna style bukak tutup pintu kereta! Proton sendiri pun menggalakkannya! Apekehei yop oi? Udah takde idea nak juei kereta ker? Gomen dok bagi chan kome juei kereta tanpe tax tinggi, gini cara kome ajor bakal pembeli cara nak beli kereta Proton?

Teman cakap, kalau berani, compete la secara terbuka kat open market nih. Sampei bile Proton nak kena payung dengan gomen? Udah la kereta pun tak tahan lama (kereta Waja teman udah umor 8 tahun, tapi macam2 udah rosak.Kereta Toyota Starlet mak teman yang umor 20 tahun tuh pun masih elok berjalan. Apekehei?).

Pikior2 la yek!
