What’s the actual, actual price?

I went to LowYat Plaza (where are the shops selling pirated software gone to?) today and bought a new mouse to go with my new laptop. I’ve chosen Logitech’s Cordless Laser Mouse for Bluetooth due to the fact that the mouse was specifically designed for MacBook (it’s written on the box) and comes with matching color.

But the thing I would like to discuss here in not about the newly purchased mouse, but the way the mouse was priced. I recced a lot of shops in LowYat, and funny enough, all the shops that I went to, sell the mouse at different prices. The most expensive is RM199 (the shop is not even a hypermarket) and the cheapest being RM129 (I bought at this shop).

The question is, why the fluctuation in price? And how did this one shop can sell one for RM129 while the other for RM199?

Is this situation only happens to mice in the market, or every single IT product in KL? If this is normal to consumers, I simply can’t accept the facts that a single item with a sole distributor can have different prices, depending where you actually looked.

BTW, don’t buy anything at Sunway Pyramid’s IT Centre. Everything is damn expensive!
