No speeding with your chicken…

Slow and steady makes your tummy full...

I managed to find another one of Nandos Malaysia’s billboards in KL, and this time it’s at the Federal Highway, near the exit of Subang Airport.

Nandos told me that they have several of this tongue-in-cheek advertisement around KL, but so far I can only find two (the first one is here).

I apologise for the poor quality photo. It’s difficult to take any kind of photo while being in a moving vehicle and the board so high up, especially with an iPhone.

Well, at least I’m not speeding.

Jamming at the Federal Highway

Last week I had the pleasure of driving along the Federal Highway all week long, and in a manual car. I haven’t driven any stick since I sold my GTi 8 years ago. And what an experience it was. The jam basically started at the Summit interchange until I reached my destination, which is near the University Malaya. The whole journey took me 1.5 hours, whereas on normal days, it’s only 15 minutes point to point. Given the option of a manual transmission or an automatic one, the automatic tranny wins hands down.

I had the change to view the scenery along the highway, which is pretty boring I might say. But I did noticed the cars around me. There are a lot more cars since 5 years ago. But did you noticed:

  • There are more lady drivers now. and they’re driving fancy cars;
  • Nobody seems to care about the carpool thingy;
  • There are lots of Perodua Myvi on the road;
  • Maybe in two years time, the jam in KL would be the same as Bangkok;
  • People don’t use the signal indicator anymore. Cars manufacturers should consider selling their cars without indicators, as nobody is using it.
  • There are still morons on the road who will cut queue.
  • Public transport is almost non-existence. Unless we put more buses to feed more people, maybe there will be less cars on the road.
  • Morons who use handphones while driving (as suggested by Mabbutt).

Later dudes!
