My new Liverpool FC Scarf

Yeay! My very own LFC scarf!

As you have probably knew, Liverpool FC (LFC) is coming to KL and will play their first game against the Harimau Malaya this Saturday, 16th July 2011. This should be a memorable match as this is the 1st time LFC sat foot on Malaysia’s soil. But upon hearing that our skipper Steven Gerrard will not be coming, I have second thought of going. Nevertheless, I’m preparing myself for the match.

Adidas and LFC goes a long way...

If you managed to catch my previous post, you’ll see that I’m currently looking for a LFC scarf to bring to Bukit Jalil Stadium, as everybody else would bring theirs. It would be ‘nude’ without the scarf even if you got your jersey on.

Launched during the "Every Team Needs The 12th Man" campaign

I’ve been to almost all Adidas outlets in KL and PJ looking for the scarf but I guess they’re sold out (thanks to the incoming game). Well, I’m thinking of getting one before but have postponed it several times due to priority. Now I have found one!

Made by Adidas

Proudly made by Adidas (not for long)…

…in Turkey. Material is from 100% Acrylic.

Year founded

The year LFC founded was imprinted permanently on the reverse side of the scarf.

The scarf and the jersey

Many thanks to my friend, Mr Bob Shukeri for making this a reality. This one looks way better than the one sold at Reject Shop.

Liverpool FC’s 3rd Kit – 2011/2012 season

New 3rd kit

Honestly, LFC’s 3rd jerseys are getting weirder each season. From a simple design like a training kit till the new 3rd ones. But the design sort of grows on you, and the more you look at it, the better it gets. But I just hates the blue essence on it. Make the kit looks like a Man City shirt.

As per liverpoolfc.com:

Liverpool FC and adidas have turned the clock back almost 120 years for the inspiration behind the brand new 3rd kit with the inclusion of Cyan Blue a throwback to Liverpool FC’s first ever home kit back in 1892 which incorporated alternate white and blue halves.

The design inspiration is taken from the classic tracksuit tops worn by the famous Liverpool teams of the mid 1980s, this brand new kit presents a modern look whilst giving a nostalgic nod to LFC’s illustrious past.

The kit is available for pre-orders now at LFC and kitbag, and will be officially launched on 14 July 2011.

FYI, LFC will wear their current home jersey until the end of 11/12 season.
