Nike’s Lace Up Save Lives (NIKE)RED

Get this for RM15 a pop

I have been supporting this Nike campaign for quite some time (I even put it on my FB’s status), but didn’t actually buy the product. Today, I bought the laces (RM15 at your reputable Nike stores everywhere) and with it, some feel good feelings that I’m contributing some money to Africa for them to fight AIDS.

And you'll get 2 red laces...

The Nike campaign is fronted by the African football stars (notably Didier Drogba). Assholes aside, this is a very good cause to be indulge in and by buying the laces for RM15, it’s money well spent (than your early morning cappuccino at your local coffee shops).

You can read more about this campaign at (NIKE)RED and Nike Football.

The Red Lace on my AF1 Jordan

Just a word of caution: the red laces are primarily designed to be used on football boots (hence the origin of the African footballers), therefore the laces are smaller and shorter than the normal sneakers. But by tightening the laces (or even skipping some holes on the shoes), you will be able to tie the laces together.

My very own Jordan AF1 shoes…

I’ve finally managed to get myself a pair of the Air Force 1’s shoes (well, the blog’s title is all that but I still don’t have a pair to wear). The shoes is not basically all AF1, but a fusion of the Jordan 3 shoes and Air Force 1, and they called it Jordan Fusion 3.

Air Jordan Fusion 3 White/Fire Red-Cement-Black

According to Nike and jumpman23.com sites, the Fusion 3 came in several color schemes, but the white with elephant stripes in the only one available in Malaysia. Officially, of course. When I went to my usual Nike shop, it was on 40% discount and only available in my size. Couldn’t believe my eyes at first, but that’s the truth. Without much hesitation, I bought the shoes. At last, I’m a proud owner of both Jordan and Air Force 1’s shoes!

The shoes was officially dubbed “Air Jordan and Air Force 1: The Ultimate Collaboration”. It was further mentioned that “A rare opportunity to see these two titans, as “the best of both worlds”, unite as one. The Jordan brand is celebrating year 23 just as the Air Force 1 is coming off its 25th anniversary. As these two franchises join forces for the first time, this new visual expression is destined to become the ultimate statement for sneaker aficionados around the world“.

Full Air Midsole

The vanguards of high performance and artistic expression has never been more united, but for every masterpiece, for every true expression of authentic merit, there are a dozen pretenders wanting a ticket to the dance. The result: an uncompromising path with access only authenticity can grant“.

Air Jordan

The shoe game stands upon yet another threshold of change and this is your opportunity to be a part of the change to come. The Air Jordan Franchise and the Air Force 1 are joining forces, ready to establish new precedents for the future. Pushing the limits of what’s possible. To rise above. Created, designed and developed just for you. Are you ready?”

That’s what it said on the specially created box.

Shoes: Nike Air Max+ 2009

Air Max+ 2009

Nike came up with a wonderful enhanced and technologically advanced Air Max series with a shoes called Air Max+ 2009. The shoes is basically a fusion of Nike Air Max 360 and the flywire technology, first introduced before the 2008 Beijing Olympic. The shoes will definitely be a hit among serious runners (and sneakerheads) as it is light (with new light mesh-like material), flywire (tendon-like support cable) for superb fit and the famous Nike Air sole for the ultimate in cushioning. Now there’s no more reason to skip your running.
