These are the photos taken during my trip to “Anfield” at Pavilion Bukit Bintang. Standard Chartered Malaysia (as official shirt sponsor of LFC) has taken the initiative to erected the Anfield stadium replica in the middle of Pavilion. Other than having hives of activities, a session of meet & greet from LFC players like Carroll, Meireles, Carragher, Soto and Flanagan. But when it’s time for signatures session, I saw that only Standard Chartered’s employees are allowed to have their shirts/posters/anything signed? WTF?
Anyway, please enjoy the pics below.
Standard Chartered Bank of Malaysia (StanChart) has re-created the Shankly’s Gates in front of Pavilion’s entrance. It’s not actually the iron gate, but some cleverly placed stickers on the glass door. Wonderful job.
When I reached the centre of Pavilion, I saw one hell of big mutha f**ker jersey dangling from the ceiling. And it’s the LFC home jersey. Nice touch.
Fans of LFC quickly surrounded the round reception counter to get the freebies: a LFC poster with printed signatures and car sticker.
There’s a place to have your liverbird tattoo on your face/neck/forehead at one of the corners, made by professional tattoo artiste, of course.
StanChart has taken over the jersey’s sponsorship since last season from Carlsberg.
Fans can have their photo taken at the mock press conference booth. I don’t have a chance as I was alone there.
What a week!
