I’ve been looking for some dynamic and not-so-expensive earphones to replace my aging Sony in-ear phones. Brands like Shure, Sennheiser and Sony popped up in mind, but I’m thinking of looking for some other good brands. Been searching till last week, until I found Skullcandy.
Skullcandy in an American brand with icons like Snoop Dogg as its ambassador.
The only place they sell Skullcandy products are in Quiksilver outlets in KL. I’m not very sure about why Quiksilver carries Skullcandy products but they have some in their stores in Sunway Pyramid, Midvalley, KLCC and Pavilion.
I’ve visited the Quiksilver’s store at Sunway Pyramid and they do have some models available, like Titan, Asym and Ink’d. They even have a special custom-made rack to house all the phones. Nice indeed.
But one thing I don’t like about the whole set-up (here it comes). Quiksilver Malaysia basically locked each earphone to the rack. This makes interested consumer like me facing difficulty to inspect the item. To make things worse, they sticked the pricetag at the back of the packaging. WTF? How am I going to see the farking price? In this another way of forcing consumers to call for the salesperson’s assistance, and thus giving the chance of that particular salesperson to sell more to you, or is it another way of providing the salesperson with chances to make more commissions?
Skullcandy = great, Quiksilver Malaysia = sucks!
